EGM’s Killzone 2 Feature Reveals Cell Usage & More
Last week, EGM/1UP.com revealed that the August issue of EGM has a feature story on Killzone 2. Subscribers should have their copies as early as today and the magazine hits news stands later this week.
The magazine features 12 pages of Killzone 2 goodness, some of which mentions that four-and-a-half of the six cores of the PS3′s Cell chip are being used by Killzone 2 at the moment. Guerrilla Games’ Technical Directer, Michiel van der Leeuw also mentions, “Sony basically has an international forum for sharing character technology, animation tools and graphics shaders. ~ We’ve even taken a few tricks directly from the Resistance guys at Insomniac, and we’ve even been talking directly to the God of War guys in Santa Monica.”
It looks as if Guerrilla is making the best of being a part of the Sony Computer Entertainment family.
The magazine also gives a decent run down the the previous two Killzone games and also reveals Jan Templar’s(Killzone’s original hero) new role in the Killzone universe. Check out the latest issue of EGM for the full scoop!

KZ2 has the best physics i have seen in my life im not surprised about this.

Between this and that AI dev that GG signed a contract with, it’s apparent that Sony is investing everything they have in Killzone 2 to make it as excellent as possible. This project is being worked on by far more than just GG. I now have no doubts in my mind that this game will be AAA, probably on par with Call of Duty 4 in terms of critical success.
Gears of war 2 with more going on stills looks better than FlopZone 2. u sony fanbitches are going to be so dissapointed by this crap game.
kz2 and gears of war2 are both going to be great games, I can’t belive I am wasting my time replying to your posr postation3. I do like fps more than third person though. I wonld how far along they are with the development, and if the final product will take up more room on the processor.

Ah, I love it when people aren’t able to accept the quality of games that they play, and thus, must try and bash other games/players.
I for one am looking forward to both Killzone 2 and Gears of War 2, as I have enjoyed both series greatly.
Needless to say, my hype for Killzone 2 is a bit larger, due to the fact that there is a generation gap, as opposed to Gears of War 2, which uses the same hardware/gameplay conventions, only improved.
I’ll try to purchase this issue when I see it.
