Mortal Kombat II coming to the PlayStation Store this Thursday!
Back in January, SOE announced that it had made a deal with Midway to bring several classic Arcade games to the Playstation 3, most notably, Mortal Kombat II.
Mortal Kombat II, originally released for arcades back in 1993, took the gaming world by storm due to its extremely graphic nature, addicting playability factor, and healthy roster of different characters and combos.
Mortal Kombat II has been upgraded to work well with High-Definition displays and includes Online Multiplayer via the Playstation Network. It also features leaderboards to show who the best kombatant is, and so that you can brag to your fellow PS3 owners about how much gore and ownag3 you can dish out.
IGN.com reports that the game will officially be up in the Store this Thursday, April 12th, and will retail as $4.99 USD, a bargain considering how many PS3s I could have bought had I not spent so much money playing this at arcades. And the added online multiplayer just strengthens the deal.
