Unbound Saga Revisited

It’s been quiet on the site because real life has kicked in for many of us, but gaming is also a part of our lives so we’re still gaming.
Anyway between Monster Hunter and Batman I’ve suddenly decided to give Unbound Saga another go. I figured I’ve talked about Monster Hunter more than enough and once I get some new gear and a group that can take on some higher level monsters I’ll post more videos. In terms of Batman if you have picked it up, I hope the reason is you just don’t have the money just yet, otherwise you’re really missing out. The last couple of days I’ve been sick and laying in bed a lot so I decided to beat that 3rd level in Unbound Saga to see if the game gets better or worse.
Although the $15 dollar price tag makes it hard for me to easily recommend the game, I think it’s a solid title and actually a really fun brawler with an interesting storyline as well. It’s funny to hear from comic characters who are aware they are just characters who’s actions and adventures are somewhat dictated by some guy writing comic books. The dialogue is funny and helps move the story along nices. The combat initially seemed boring and repetitive but it’s mostly because there is an upgrade system that requires you to spend points on unlocking new moves. I think it should be easier to unlock the moves and that would help the game become more enjoyable earlier on. The fact that there are so many moves but they each require so many points it takes a long time before actually getting some of the better attacks makes it a slow starter. I do however think that it’s fun and has some really cool elements that they’ve added besides basic brawling. I like that you can take control of the two characters and they have a somewhat different play style, the big guy just bashes enemies with anything he can pick up including other enemies and the girl attacks with cleavers and had a weird but workable stealth ability plus magic options which I have yet to unlock. I need to give this game a little more time to develop but so far so good.

Hmm. Not my thing I guess? Even after watching that vid… I’m “Eh” about it. Did you get a change to try the Wet demo, Omni?
The Wet demo made me think I will buy Wet Day one!
Hells yeah
Mee too! I felt it a little rough around the edges but the style and presentation really spoke to me for some reason.
