The Sad and Sorry state of Game Journalism
I’m not a fan of reviews and I’m definitely not a fan the larger game media sites, but recently it’s been easier and easier to point out the flaws with the system. The upcoming release of Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and it’s review score from Famitsu has caused some poo flinging from Kotaku at Konami and Famitsu. I don’t care what famitsu gave MGSPW in terms of a review score but I believe the way Kotaku responded show a severe lack of professionalism and it’s my hope that it opens gamers eyes to maturity of some of these editors.
I read two articles posted over at a blog called the The Classy Gamer both articles bring up great point and in a professional and knowledgeable manner, I recommend everyone take some time to read them.

While the truley great games like Uncharted2 stand out on the review charts Unless there is some serious hype most games get mixed into the lower 9 out of 10 scores when most dont deserve it. Hopefully there will be a day when scores are not giving but instead a list of what a game does right and what it does wrong.
I wasn’t aware Kotaku was respect…. honestly, I don’t have any faith in kotaku as a source of… well… anything. They’re just looking for controversy traffic.
Ive known this for quite a while. IGN really make me laff.
